Where is Little Compton?

We are based in between Chipping Norton and Moreton-in-Marsh on the A44.

We also offer online training to those further afield.

What if I am really overweight?

Everyone has a health evaluation during our intake session.

Being overweight is no problem, we tailor the programme to your needs.

Do I have to fill in some forms?

That’s right, just a few questions to help us build up a picture and make your programme more personal and effective.

Am I going to be lifting big heavy weights?

Depends if you want to or not.

If you want to build muscle then yes, but we have a variety of ways to workout including bodyweight, TRX, Boxercise and various equipment to aid in fat loss and fitness improvement.

I have an injury, can you help?

This depends on what injury, we can assess and if necessary refer you to the relevant medical professional.

Your wellbeing is our main concern, real pain and discomfort is your body telling you something is wrong and to stop.

I want to work out with my friend, can you have multiple people in the session?

Yes, with prior notice we can adapt as necessary.

But everyone will need to fill in a short questionnaire and sign a disclaimer.

How long do fitness sessions last?

From start to finish usually an hour, to include sufficient warm up, workout, laughter and warm down.

What will we do in a fitness session?

This depends on the goal you are working towards, so will vary.

But certainly have fun, work hard, laugh, sweat, improve and enjoy.

Can you give me an exercise programme to do on other days?

It’s very important to stay active every day and be able to adjust your programme if you are away, travelling or very short of time.

I’m training for an event, race, run, specific sport – can you help?

Yes, having competed in triathlons, 10km races, 75+ obstacle course races, a 20 mile race to the top of Snowdon, the 22 mile+ longest obstacle course race in the world plus played football, tennis, golf, badminton, squash and skied around Europe.

We have plenty of experience and can take on anything you have signed up for and train specifically for that.

Will I ache afterwards?

Probably yes, especially when we first start out before your body begins to adapt.

We shall advise on rest days or the level of activity in the days after a fitness session.

What should I eat beforehand?

This depends on your schedule, timing of the session and your own experiences.

Nobody knows your body better than you.

Ideally try not to eat anything heavy for 2 hours before a fitness session.

Stick to water, coffee, green tea – and avoid sugary/energy drinks.

Cancelling/Rescheduling a session

If you need to cancel or reschedule a call please give 24 hours’ notice.

If you have a Lastminute drama or emergency we shall do our very best to find a new time that is suitable.

But if we are unable to rearrange then unfortunately you will forfeit that session.

What clothing should I wear?

Generally, trainers, sports leggings/shorts and t-shirt plus a hoodie/warmer layer to complete the warm up in.

It might sound obvious but the best advice is to invest in some decent kit (including a supporting sports bra).

If you have long hair it might be useful tying it up.

That should cover everything.
